Current Project - Take A Mic editor

After a bit of a lapse in freelance work, I am happy to be working once again in the space of editing. Now editing the podcast Take A Mic, created by Sami Roth the founder of Take a Stand. Take A Stand is a wonderful nonprofit that provides "Education and Resources against Sexual Violence".

Under the Take A Stand Platform, Sami has many different projects going on. Along with her podcast, there is also the "Red Mic Series" a short video social media based series where they host short interviews taking and educating about consent and Sexual violence.

Editing this podcast has been a very rewarding experience. Audio editing has always been something I have enjoyed. When editing a podcast, similar to editing vide baed projects, you get to experiment with the "script". Most of my responsibilities is to remove any dead space and clean up the audio, which often means fixing re-starts or messed up words or phrases. If there are any major changes made, they are run through to me from Sami or the co-host Olivia.

I will definitely be expanding more on the podcast world in the future.
